The principles of feng shuiThe foundations of fengshui date back hundreds, if not thousands of years. It would be a good idea to read this section, but if your short on time and want to get to the "feng shui and you" part of this site then i will let you get away with just a "scim read". If not, then enjoy the rich pages of information that follow. 
Below i will give a VERY short introduction to each principle. Click on the links to enter the subject in more depth. (note-the passage below is only a short introduction to each, the links contain the juicy stuff) Lets start with the basic principles , wind and water, feng is wind, shui is water. Feng shui as a term is all about heaven and earth and the space in between. Wind and water are the sustainers of life, they carry chi, the mapping of this is fengshui as an art. Chi is an unseen force, an energy, that acts on every level, the way chi is channeled effects us greatly. When channeled negativly its called shachi it brings bad luck and "misfortune". Dont panic though! the secound part of this site "feng shui and you" will tell you how to effectivly channel chi to your benefit.
