Direction finding

This is the part of the site that contains most of the things that you would have heard of....dont panic if you dont! thats what I`m here for. Direction finding, this is not all about finding directions as you will find out, but the term direction "fits" on more than one level.

Below i will give a VERY short introduction to each principle. Click on the links to enter the subject in more depth. (note- the passage below i just a introduction, the juicy bits are in the links)

Yin and yang , good and bad, light and dark, it is the basic concept of the universe. From this comes the five elements they relate yin and yang to the earth. The eight trigrams. which link heaven and earth in the form of symbols are linked with the pa kua which is the basic compass of fengshui. We then come to the lo shu or magic square which helps us analyse a house to predict changes for the people inside- i know it sounds complicated, but its really not, trust me. From this we come to the stems and branches in direction finding which are key parts of the chinese cosomology. The next two pages fit under the "directions finding" unbrella in a much clearer way. compass directions and using the compass are quite self explanatory. Compass directions are linked with the eight trigrams and using the compass gives us an ability to put the ideas into good use.
